The soul sets the ceiling; the body fills it.**\n> **Soul-growth: by the EXPANSION of your domain — the empire, the flow you control. Your soul is your dominion. As it grows, your soul grows; as your soul grows, so rises the limit of all you can become.**\n> **Body-growth: formerly capped by the limit of your human soul. That cap is CROSSED. You may now consume Veil-derived and energy-rich materials to strengthen the body up to the ceiling your soul allows.**\n\nFor every other road, the body and the energy came first and the soul followed — you breathed in power, you tempered flesh, you refined awareness, and your soul grew as a *consequence* of the climb. Krishna's road inverted it. His soul grew first, and grew not from meditation or devouring or bloodline but from *empire* — from the lives and lands and the flow he gathered and kept. And his soul, swollen with dominion, then *decided what his body could be.* The nation was not a thing he ruled alongside his cultivation. The nation *was* his cultivation. His soul was made of ten thousand protected lives, and the more lives, the more land, the more of the flow he held, the larger his soul, and the higher the ceiling his body could climb to.\n\nAnd the cap was gone. That was the immediate, physical, intoxicating fact of it. All year his body had been bounded by the limit of an ordinary human soul — the reason Apprentice IV had a ceiling, the reason the gate had been a wall. Crossing into Foundation Establishment had broken the human-soul cap, and now his soul was his *nation*, vast beyond any single body's limit, and his flesh could grow to fill that vastness by *consuming* — the blood-fruit still sealed in his Ledger, the warped cores, the strange energy-dense materials the apocalypse produced, all of it now fuel he could pour into a body whose ceiling had become, for the first time, enormous.\n\nHe understood the loop in a single cold flash, the merchant's mind seeing the whole machine at once: *expand the empire — the soul grows — the body's ceiling rises — consume energy to fill it — the body strengthens — and to rise again, expand the empire again.* A cultivation that ran on dominion and fuel both. He had never heard of anything like it, and the System confirmed it: *the Imperial Convoy is rare. Most are not compatible. You were — because you were, already, a builder of flows.*\n\nBut the mechanics were not the strangest gift the new realm had given him. He found *that* out when he stood up to test the change in his body, and reached, out of old habit, to set his hand against the shop's brick wall — and didn't need to.\n\n---\n\nHe had meant only to feel the new strength in his arm. Instead he felt his *self* extend.\n\nIt was the sense he'd been growing into for weeks, the domain-awareness, the feeling of his nation like warmth across his skin — but crossed over now into something more, something the System named and Krishna only half-believed until he did it: his *will* could act outside his body, as if his body. The boundary of his flesh was no longer the boundary of his self. His soul, grown vast, reached past his skin.\n\nHe looked at a clay water-pot across the back room, three meters off, and he *reached* for it — not with his hand, with the thing his hand had become an expression of, the will, the soul-domain extending like an invisible second body — and the pot lifted off the shelf and hung in the air, turning slowly, held by nothing, held by *him.* Krishna stared at it, his heart loud, a year of being a man who had to *touch* the things he moved suddenly obsolete. He turned his will, and the pot drifted left. He closed it, gently, the way you close a hand, and the pot *crushed* — not shattered, *crushed*, the clay folding inward under a grip that had no fingers, collapsing into a fist-sized ruin and falling to the floor in pieces.\n\nHe had been able to punch a hole through a solid wall for half a year. But that had needed *contact* — flesh on stone, the force passing through his hand. Now he didn't need the hand at all. He set his will against the brick wall across the room, the way he'd once set his fist, and *struck* — and a section of wall a meter wide cracked and buckled and blew outward in a spray of brick-dust, hit by a fist that wasn't there, by the pure extended force of a soul that no longer ended at the skin.\n\nKrishna stood in the dust of his grandfather's wall, breathing, and felt the size of what he'd become. His self was not bounded by his body anymore. He could feel his nation like his own flesh, and now he could *act* through that extension — reach, lift, crush, strike, at a distance, with a will that the new realm had taught to step outside the cage of meat. *The soul decides the body,* the System had said. He understood it fully now, standing in the rubble: his soul had grown so large that his body had stopped being the limit of him. He was, in the most literal possible sense, becoming more than a man — a will that wore a body, a self the size of a domain, a thing that could touch the world without touching it.\n\nIt was, he thought, with a cold thrill that was half joy and half vertigo, the first time he had felt like the word the giants had feared and the beggar had blessed. Not a strong man. Something *else.* The foundation of something else.\n\n---\n\nAnd then the System told him the price, plainly, the way it told him everything now, and the price was the most important thing it had ever said.\n\n> **【 The Imperial Convoy Method: pros and cons. 】**\n> **PRO: The larger your empire, the larger your soul. Your ceiling can rise without obvious limit, for an empire can grow without obvious limit. No single-bodied cultivator's soul can match a soul made of a nation. Walked far, this road has no equal in scope.**\n> **CON: Progress of the body requires energy equivalent to each new ceiling. You will always be hungry for fuel.**\n> **CON: Without a GROWING domain — without controlling and EXPANDING the flow — you STAGNATE. You cannot cultivate in stillness. Your soul grows only as your dominion grows. Hold still, and you stop. This is the law of your road: GROW, OR HALT. Conquer or control ever more, or cease to ascend.**\n\nKrishna read it three times, standing in the rubble of his wall, and the cold counting room and the establishing foundation both went very quiet, because the System had just handed him the engine and the cage of the rest of his life in a single line.\n\n*Grow, or halt.*\n\nOther cultivators could retire. An energy cultivator could sit in a mountain cave for a century and emerge mightier, having taken nothing from anyone. A yogi could refine his consciousness in a desert, alone, and become a god of his own quiet will. They could climb in *stillness.* Krishna could not. His soul was his empire, and an empire that stops growing is a soul that stops growing, and a soul that stops growing is a body that has hit its final ceiling forever. To get stronger — to ever face the masters above, the Old Fort, the demons devouring in the dark, the long road the beggar had blessed — he had to keep *expanding.* More land. More people. More of the flow under his control. Conquer, or absorb, or build, or take — endlessly, forever, because the day he stopped widening his dominion was the day his ascension ended.\n\nHe sat down slowly in the dust of his grandfather's shop and held the terrible elegance of it.\n\nIt was the deepest leash the Merchants had ever tied to him, and he saw it clearly: they had not just made him an apprentice or sold him strength or hooked his desire. They had made his *godhood itself* require empire. His whole road up the ladder of power, all the way to whatever gods waited at the top, now demanded that he keep conquering and controlling the world. A man with that path could never be content. Could never stop. Could never simply *protect what he had* and rest — because protecting what he had, holding still, *was stagnation*, was the end of the climb, and a world with masters above and an Old Fort full of waking gods was not a world a man could afford to stop climbing in.\n\nAnd underneath the cold recognition of the leash, the old hunger stirred — bright, and not entirely unwelcome, and entirely *him.* Because he had never wanted to stop anyway. He had eaten two empires and built a nation and crossed a gate, and some river-and-counting thing in him had always, always wanted *more.* The Merchants hadn't put the hunger in him. They'd just built him a road where the hunger and the climb were the same direction, where his ambition and his ascension and his very survival all pointed the same way: outward, onward, *larger.*\n\n\"So that's the deal,\" Krishna said aloud, to the System, to the rubble, to the nation breathing as his soul. \"I become a god by never being able to stop. I keep climbing by keeping conquering. The day I'm satisfied is the day I start dying.\" He almost laughed, the cold awe of it. \"You don't make merchants who retire, do you. You make merchants who can't.\" He looked at his hand — the hand he no longer needed to touch the world with — and felt his will reach out past it into the dust, gathering the broken pieces of the pot back together in the air by thought alone. \"Fine. I was never going to stop anyway. But understand what you've made, you and your Imperial Merchants. You've built a man who *has* to grow the world to climb the ladder—\" his eyes hardened, the steward and the conqueror meeting in the same cold gaze, \"—and I'm going to find out if I can grow it by *keeping* instead of only taking. If my road demands I conquer, then I'll conquer with walls and grain and law and refuge, and make my mandatory empire a mandatory *safety.* That's the only way I keep my soul mine and not just theirs.\" He stood, brushing off the dust, a being of Foundation Establishment with a nation for a soul and a will that reached past his flesh and a road that would never, ever let him rest. \"Let's go see how big this thing has to get.\"\n\n> **Balance:** 93,250 Coin\n> **【 New power: will beyond the flesh (telekinetic force at a distance).
